When Krypton's core reaches instability and Brainiac's invasion of Kandor becomes a catalyst for the inevitable, Kara Zor-El is undoubtedly the last Kryptonian to exist.

With her rocky escape before the destruction of her home planet, Kara travels through space in an unprecedented fashion that leaves her suspended between realms and time--only to be found centuries later. 

Thor destroyed the Bifrost Bridge to stop Loki's plan to attack Jotunheim; Kara slips through the remaining weaves that bleeds from the Bifrost, ending up being found on Vanaheim then brought to Asgard.

When Odin sends Kara and Thor to Earth in order to stop Loki's plans for invasion, Kara undergoes a major discovery of herself that she has to embrace in order to save New York. Kara fights alongside the likes of Thor and five other individuals who are found to have interesting qualities and skill sets, each becoming an asset for a team tasked with protecting humanity.
