It was 2:10 on the dot. We sat in our desks all packed up , listening to our teacher giving another boring speech about summer. "Be safe." Shed say "Read a lot." She'd say "Dont have too much fun." Shed say. I knew every word our teacher would have said before she did. I dozed off and couldn't help but watch the clock. All i could hear was its constant ticking. Not even the quiet whispers of my classmates could remove me from this trance. 2:12 the clock now read , 3 more minutes left to spare. Then i slowly skimmed my desk which was as bare as the rest of the room. No more signs hung , the floor swept clean , all of our text books ready for next years students. 2:14 the clock now read , 1 more minute left to spare. "What will i do this summer?" I asked my self "Biking? Maybe even swimming!" But then the bell rung. 2:15 , no more minutes left to spare. Out of force of habit i jumped up an bolted for the door , down the halls , then into the school yard. My summer had officially begun.

The summer of my 5th grade year, my mum made me and my sisters type a page of something everyday. She didn't care what we typed, as long as we were writing and creating something. At first, I saw it as torture, so I tried so leave as many spaces as possible in my writing to fill up the pages faster. Eventually, I started to enjoy writing the stories, and now that I look back at them (as much as I hate to admit it) it actually wasn't that bad. This book contains everything I wrote during that time, and I didn't change a single word as I transferred the stories from my computer. There aren't as many stories as you would think, because I didn't write for the entire summer, but there's quite a few. Some are short stories while others are longer, but I hope you enjoy all of them. It's quite a mess, really. And I'm not joking when I say that. (I used the Canva app to create the cover. All photos, except from my drawing in the first part, are from Pixabay.)
