Touré knew she couldn't stay in Sierraville; there was too much heartbreak there. She'd left her hometown and everything that came with it and hadn't looked back. Now, after twelve years of excuses, her family isn't taking no for an answer. Obligated to go back for her grandmother's "moonstone birthday celebration," she prepares to face her past-and face her past she does. Michael "Spade" Jackson tried the love thing twice-once with his first love Jade, and a second time with his shotgun bride of nine months. Now he's sworn off love unless it involves his daughter. He doesn't need it. After taking over his father's construction company, he has everything he needs in a town as small as Sierraville. He's settled, and after it's taken him so long to get to this point, he doesn't care to run into any unwelcome distractions. But speak of the devil and she will appear.

~Based on Michael Jackson's short film/music video, "Ghosts"~ "Being different isn't a bad thing. It means you're brave enough to be yourself." -Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter 20-year-old Kelsey Carlyle has just moved into the small town of Normal Valley, where everyone seems to be...well, normal. Well, almost everyone. Just as she settled in, she has trouble making friends with the townspeople, mostly because of the Mayor, a shrewd, stuck-up man who tends to keep his town just the way it is, and how he sees the seemingly innocent newcomer as a "new threat", or mostly likely, a "weird" one, and that there is another one just like her. Realizing that she doesn't fit in with anyone in Normal Valley, Kelsey demands to know if there is anyone like her there. One day, she gets her answer. She stumbles upon an old house in the woods no one is allowed to step foot in, and there, she meets the Maestro, a strange, mysterious, yet handsome figure living alone in the house, and finds out that he has supernatural abilities. Will he help Kelsey reveal her true colors to herself and help her open her eyes? And will she be there in time when she finds out that the Mayor and the townspeople plan to run her new friend out of town and tell them that he's not so bad of a man as they claim he is before it's too late? Read and find out. Just don't get scared! 😈
