After an outburst from her father, the Elvenking Thranduil, Princess Valerial flees into the forest and is taken by an elf, Faelor to Dol Guldur. Trained for centuries in combat she becomes Lady Morielle of Dol Guldur. The Witch King is fond of her and entrusts his missions to her. On one of these, Valerial was sent to intercept the dwarves from reclaiming Erebor. However, Valerial is in the dark about her lineage, as she was separated from her family from such a young age.
