The first in the Gone trilogy. ❝People change. Memories don't. ❞ I had that one person. That one person who would be my brightness in the dullest of days (trust me, there were a lot) just by gracing me with his presence. The frown that was permanently etched on my face would always seemingly dissipate into the happiness I felt when we'd meet up, running into his arms like he was my safe place. Everyone expected him to have someone, but no one thought it'd be me. No one wanted it to be me. Looking back on it now, it seemed like a typical love story. Him, the kind and gentle-hearted boy and I, the rude and cold-hearted girl. He wasn't kind, he wasn't gentle-hearted because if he was, then he wouldn't have left. Without a word. His lack of words towards me doesn't mean that I'm left speechless. In fact, I have a thousand words wanting to just slip off my tongue right this moment. Just because he's gone. Humans are cruel. And if you even ever find a nice one, its unlikely. But don't think that. It'll never happen. That may or may not be true. But that's what Finn was told. He's just a stray pup trying to live with his family who's falling apart. They have no shelter, no food, and no water but muddy puddles after rain. And after Finn thinks he hit rock bottom, everything just seems to gets worse. He loses things he thought could never be lost, sees things he thought would never happen. For the Newton class, something as small as a missing cookie can create such chaos. It all started when the loudest group was in charge of keeping an eye on the cookies that the class made. It was during their watch that a cookie had gone missing. So goes a crazy investigation by detectives Hans and Cloud to find out what happened to the cookie. Unfortunately, unraveling a case like this isn't as easy as they expected. Suspects just keep piling in for no good reason and everything just seems out of place. Hans and Cloud are now racking their brains on how to solve this case. Too bad another problem occurs in the middle of their investigation.
