Si Elara ay nabubuhay sa isang mundong punong-puno ng ingay at nagmamadaling liwanag. Ang buhay niya ay monotonous, nakakulong sa mithiin na makatakas sa kaguluhan. Ang tanging escape niya ay ang pagtulog. Ngunit ang pagtulog niya ay hindi simpleng pamamahinga.

Sa tuwing pumipikit siya, nagigising siya sa katawan ni Anya, sa isang parallel universe na tila pinagpala ng katahimikan at sinaunang kalikasan. Sa mundong ito, ang buhay ay mabagal, at ang mga tradisyon ang nagkokontrol sa bawat araw. Hindi alam ni Elara na nagpapalit sila ni Anya.
