After deciding that enough was enough, Niamh McLoughlin takes a job as a fire-lookout, deep in the heart of the Shoshone National Park. It's there she meets Kyle: a faceless voice through her radio, who quickly helps guide her to a place she never would have expected.

(This AU is based on the indie video game Firewatch. It draws inspiration from the setting and characters, but the plot will deviate majorly from the game. Prior knowledge of the game is not needed.)
