His Beautiful Torture

My heart beats rapidly in my chest as my eyes flash back and forth between his. My palms were a bit sweaty, shaking uncontrollably. I tuck my fingers into my palms so he can't see.

His hair is longer, still silky but just a little more messy. He now has a five o'clock shadow peppering his sharpened jawline.

He's twice his original size, only purely muscle now. A silver hoop pierced one of his ears. The most jarring change was the scar slicing through his left eye, which was now a pale yet striking silvery blue color, a stark contrast to his brown eye on the other side.

He was a completely different person. And yet he was all the same. There was no hesitation, no pause when I saw him. I recognized him immediately, despite his drastic changes.
