Nico watched in horror how Percy promised Annabeth to always stay together, to never be apart again. Then, Percy let go and he and Annabeth fell down. All around, he could hear the others shouting and running to help. All too late, Percy and Annabeth were gone. Suddenly, Nico heard another sound. A strange crackling was increasingly more and more prominent, until it drowned the voices of the remaining five. Before he realized what was happening, the ground beneath his torso was crumbling away, larger and larger pieces were disappearing in the hungry darkness below. Nico did not have time to react. This is the story of Percy as he grows up in Tartarus. We already know that he would do anything to protect his friends, so why not his former enemy? When Kronos is all that can keep Percy alive in this terrifying environment, Percy must learn to survive in this place called Tartarus. He grows up believing that he owes everything to Kronos and his minions - after all, they do refer to him as 'My Prince'. They helped him survive; if he ever owed anyone, he must owe these guys. When Percy locks himself in his cabin, Nico forces him to return to a normal lifestyle and helps him (try) to get better.
