K drama: If someone had told Amara that love could sneak into her life wearing wet sneakers and holding a crooked umbrella, she would have laughed in their face. Love, in her mind, was supposed to be candlelit dinners, roses delivered at work, and maybe-just maybe-shirtless men from romance novels showing up at her door. But no. Her own love story began on a Tuesday evening, when she was drenched like a lost chicken and yelling at a bus driver who sped past without stopping. "Madam, abeg shift, my umbrella get boundaries!" the stranger beside her complained, holding his umbrella so awkwardly it covered everything except his own head. Amara shot him a glare. "If your umbrella is too small, then maybe it should apply for pension." He grinned, undeterred. "At least it's trying. Unlike you-shouting at buses that can't hear you." She gasped. Who did this man think he was? Handsome or not, nobody insulted her relationship with buses. And yet... there was something about his smile. Something about the way his laughter cut through the storm. Something that would soon pull her into late-night phone calls, impossible choices, and a secret he carried that could shatter everything. Love wasn't supposed to say hello like this. But it did. And Amara was not ready for what came after.

His strides were long and powerful as he walk towards me. I was stiff on the other hand, my heart thumped loudly against my chest and my hands were fisted on my side. It was just a word, a single word yet it made such a large impact on my system. "Look at me" His fingers grip my chin securely, though it wasn't tight at all, I was unable to take it off. "Wh-what are you d-doing?" A shiver went down my spine when I notice the look on his eyes, it was the same from before. The same look of passion when he kissed me on the street eight years ago. "I admit I had a few girlfriends before and add some weekly romance rumors but remember this.
