Ellie stabbed herself in the stomach, and Elijah begged her to help him heal her. To prevent Ellie from dying. Damon feeds her his blood to prevent her dying in the sacrifice, much to Stefan's displeasure. Stefan tries to work a deal with Klaus to save Ellie's life. Klaus agreed to the deal to have Stefan work for him. John asked Bonnie to cast a spell on him. The next morning, John succumbs and dies. At his funeral, Jeremy gave Ellie a letter from John, telling her that he would always love her and that she would always be his daughter, even if she became a vampire. Will Ellie survive?
