This is a poem I felt like writing on a whim. I loved the meaning of this word, Sehnsucht, not that I grasped its meaning truly or fully, lol, but I felt like writing a poem, at least for myself. It's been ages since I did something like this.

Desperation, stemmed from years of trauma, can really turn an innocent soul into a cold hearted monster. I used to wish I couldn't feel things. I never thought the saying was true- "Be careful what you wish for" because my wishes were never more than just 'wishes' before. Now I feel nothing inside and I wish that I could un-wish that one, sometimes. I guess this is just my truth. My life.
