(Philomena) (A cool chilly breeze is blowing) (Sounds of animals in the forest echoes) It's a chilly late afternoon, and I can hear the leaves rustling in the trees and the crickets chirping. I can also see birds flying high in the sky in search of a place to spend their night. As darkness draws near, the Northern sunset reflects the shadows of the massive trees in the forest. As I stood at the border wall separating our small town from the forest I felt those piercing stares watching me again just like 'that night'. As in trance, one step is all it took for me to cross the line. As I get closer to the entrance of the forest of shadows, there is an unsettling silence that makes my skin tingle. Suddenly, I hear a bone-chilling shriek from a distance which causes me to stop. At this point I should turn back but my curiosity gets the best of me. As my feet leads me to the forest one thing is clear: I'm slowly entering the very forest that my mother forbade me from when I was young. What awaits me inside the forest? What being dwells within it? Why am I drown to it? What are the shadows I saw the night my mother disappeared? Will I still be able to get out alive? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• What awaits Philomena inside the forest? Are the shadows her allies or enemies?
