The war moved to the arena, where he sent his toughest fighters to challenge Raiden's greatest defenders in Mortal Kombat. The rules were clear, if Shao Kahn won ten tournaments in a row, he won. But if Earthrealm broke the streak, Kahn would have to start all over again. Outworld won nine tournaments. On the tenth, the monk Liu Kang defeated Shang Tsung and won the tournament, keeping Earthrealm safe. Shao Kahn however, is not going to let victory be taken from him.
