It was the first of September when Pugsley Addams set foot in Nevermore for the very first time. The breeze bit at his cheeks, the air thick with a strange, lurking kind of mystery-exactly the sort of atmosphere that made him feel alive. He was eager to roam the same halls his sister had, certain this place would give him better odds at finding companions... or at least people who wouldn't run away screaming. He managed to collect a few tolerances, though none he'd dare call friends-except, perhaps, his roommate. Eugene Ottinger, the small, curly-haired beekeeper who had helped Wednesday save the school last semester. Even with him, things were prickly at best. But Pugsley never backed away. There was something about the grumpy boy that had snagged his attention the very first day-like finding a perfectly preserved insect pinned under glass.
