╰┈➤ ❝ 𝓦hy in the world won't you love me too?!... ❞ Calypso wailed. Her knees buckled as she fell onto the familiar sands of Ogygia. She sobbed, her tears staining her bronze skin and flowing white chiton, her figure trembling. The wind whipped around her, surrounding her in every way unlike she's ever known. It wasn't the kind of wind that would playfully tease your hair or cool you off on a hot summer day, it was the kind of wind that would choke you if you dared move a muscle. She couldn't look up. It would be too painful to have to watch the only one you've ever truly loved leave you. "I'm sorry, Calypso," Odysseus murmured softly, stepping onto the raft he made and setting sail.

Of course he would choose to leave. Of course he would choose Ithaca over Ogygia. Of course he would choose Penelope over her. The winds calmed as Odysseus's raft disappeared into the horizon, as if content that Calypso's heart was broken once again. "I'm not sorry for loving you..." she hummed in a melancholic tune, her voice silencing the once cheery critters of this island.

╰┈➤ Calypso, an immortal sea nymph stuck on her island, has to cope with the loss of Odysseus, a man she took in as her lover, after he leaves her for his own wife and home.
