Elara Lennox is the kind of girl who punches first and never bothers asking questions later. Doing it first instead of asking for permission.

So what happens when she enters someone else's story?

Growing up in a world where loyalty is currency and violence is survival, she's made a living off instinct and grit. So when she wakes up one day in the brutal, magic-fueled world of Fourth Wing, her first reaction isn't fear-it's strategy. Survival.

Here, at Basgiath War College, death is part of the curriculum. Dragons choose their riders-or kill the ones they find unworthy. Cadets are trained to become soldiers in a war most won't survive.

And Elara? She's not even supposed to exist in this world, let alone thrive in it.

But returning home means going back to the streets, to blood-soaked pavement and enemies who don't need magic to end you. So she makes her choice eventually: stay, fight, and figure out how the hell she landed in a fantasy war zone before it eats her alive.

One thing's for sure-Elara never plays by the rules. And Basgiath has no idea what it just dragged in.

Every year, swaths of 20-year-olds descend upon a college campus. Unfortunately, this college specializes in war, in consideration of the one raging at its borders. Outposts and enemies line the eastern mountains, guarded by many from the army, but most notably, the Dragon Riders. (Y/N)'s future was determined long before she was born. As far as she was concerned, none of that destiny included Basgiath; not after she watched her grandfather descend into mad ramblings from his battles after bonding a dragon, then fell to the whims of a power-hungry Colonel who would do anything to hurt her. The quadrant destroyed the good and empowered the bad, and she wanted nothing to do with it, no matter what her name spelled. Xaden Riorson's future was clear, no Basgiath or dragons in sight. That was, until he was 16, when his father's apostasy-turned-secession fell apart; his home was burned; and his father went missing, only to be reported by someone he thought was an ally, then murdered. Unfortunately for both of them, Basgiath wouldn't let them off so easily. Xaden had a two year head start and became a Wingleader, ready-and willing-to sacrifice anything to fulfill his goals. Some may call them selfish and many call him ruthless, but he's no stranger to prescribed titles. (Y/N) stood before the bridge, but she had no intention of making it across. Her ruined future and unstable life would be given to a cause much more worthy than the torture of Basgiath: her mother, her father, and her patron: Zihnal, the God of Chaos. *SHE/HER* [Book 1 of 2]

He loved Violet Sorrengail. But when he meets Aria Hale ... a Dragonblood with impossible power and a pull he can't explain ... everything shifts. She's his mentor. She's forbidden. And if he's not careful... she'll be his downfall. Born a Dragon Blood - Aria Hale is a rare and legendary descendant of ancient dragon riders whose magic flows deeper than human blood - she stands apart from every cadet, rider, and even wingleader at Basgiath War College. Her connection to dragons isn't merely a bond; it's a living force coursing through her veins. Gifted with three signets instead of one, she has so far awakened two: the power to forge unbreakable mind-to-mind bonds with anyone she chooses, and the ability to heal others, though never herself. Her third signet remains an enigma, a dormant power waiting to be claimed. When Xaden Riorson transfers to her post after graduating, she is assigned a usual task: to train him. Her approach is firm yet kind, her presence commanding but gentle - a stark contrast to the cold rivalries that define Basgiath. As she pushes Xaden to sharpen his speed, master his own signet, and survive the brutal games riders face, he can't help but notice the strength and warmth she carries. Separated from Violet Sorrengail, the love of his life, Xaden finds himself drawn to her in ways he never expected - intrigued by the mystery of the Dragon Blood, and challenged by the quiet power she wields. But beyond personal desires, Xaden also sees her as a key player in the Venin Revolution efforts - a powerful asset whose unique gifts could tip the scales in a war that will decide the fate of kingdoms. Katrina Rosen is in her third year at Basgiath War college. Forced into the Riders Quadrant because of who her parents were, she's braved the Parapet, Threshing, and the assassination attempts on her life because of the Relic that swirls around her arm. She's had her 2 best friends, Garrick and Xaden by her side the entire time, but while everyone seems to always be looking at Xaden, Katrina's eyes have always lingered on Garrick. He's the only one who's ever seen her cry, the one she always hugs a little tighter than everyone else, and the one of two people outside of leadership that knows about her classified signet. The only thing keeping her from making a move is her friendship with him and her desire not to mess it up. Garrick Tavis is also in his third year at Basgiath. Like Katrina, he's had both her and Xaden by his side. The relics that swirl around their arms and their powerful signets have made the trio a prime target at the war college. While he's close to both Xaden and Katrina, it's always been Katrina, who he calls Kate, that he's turned to first when he's overwhelmed. Kate has always been his safe haven and he doubts the she even knows that. As time goes on while they're in Basgiath, Garrick has started noticing how his stomach flutters whenever Kate walks into a room and the way that his breathing becomes shaky whenever she gives him one of her extra tight hugs. He doesn't know when these feelings for his purple haired best friend started to develop, but he's convinced that she doesn't feel the same way. Garrick Tavis x OC
