Elara Lennox is the kind of girl who punches first and never bothers asking questions later. Doing it first instead of asking for permission.

So what happens when she enters someone else's story?

Growing up in a world where loyalty is currency and violence is survival, she's made a living off instinct and grit. So when she wakes up one day in the brutal, magic-fueled world of Fourth Wing, her first reaction isn't fear-it's strategy. Survival.

Here, at Basgiath War College, death is part of the curriculum. Dragons choose their riders-or kill the ones they find unworthy. Cadets are trained to become soldiers in a war most won't survive.

And Elara? She's not even supposed to exist in this world, let alone thrive in it.

But returning home means going back to the streets, to blood-soaked pavement and enemies who don't need magic to end you. So she makes her choice eventually: stay, fight, and figure out how the hell she landed in a fantasy war zone before it eats her alive.

One thing's for sure-Elara never plays by the rules. And Basgiath has no idea what it just dragged in.

Every year, swaths of 20-year-olds descend upon a college campus. Unfortunately, this college specializes in war, in consideration of the one raging at its borders. Outposts and enemies line the eastern mountains, guarded by many from the army, but most notably, the Dragon Riders. (Y/N)'s future was determined long before she was born. As far as she was concerned, none of that destiny included Basgiath; not after she watched her grandfather descend into mad ramblings from his battles after bonding a dragon, then fell to the whims of a power-hungry Colonel who would do anything to hurt her. The quadrant destroyed the good and empowered the bad, and she wanted nothing to do with it, no matter what her name spelled. Xaden Riorson's future was clear, no Basgiath or dragons in sight. That was, until he was 16, when his father's apostasy-turned-secession fell apart; his home was burned; and his father went missing, only to be reported by someone he thought was an ally, then murdered. Unfortunately for both of them, Basgiath wouldn't let them off so easily. Xaden had a two year head start and became a Wingleader, ready-and willing-to sacrifice anything to fulfill his goals. Some may call them selfish and many call him ruthless, but he's no stranger to prescribed titles. (Y/N) stood before the bridge, but she had no intention of making it across. Her ruined future and unstable life would be given to a cause much more worthy than the torture of Basgiath: her mother, her father, and her patron: Zihnal, the God of Chaos. *SHE/HER* [Book 1 of 2]

Katrina Rosen is in her third year at Basgiath War college. Forced into the Riders Quadrant because of who her parents were, she's braved the Parapet, Threshing, and the assassination attempts on her life because of the Relic that swirls around her arm. She's had her 2 best friends, Garrick and Xaden by her side the entire time, but while everyone seems to always be looking at Xaden, Katrina's eyes have always lingered on Garrick. He's the only one who's ever seen her cry, the one she always hugs a little tighter than everyone else, and the one of two people outside of leadership that knows about her classified signet. The only thing keeping her from making a move is her friendship with him and her desire not to mess it up. Garrick Tavis is also in his third year at Basgiath. Like Katrina, he's had both her and Xaden by his side. The relics that swirl around their arms and their powerful signets have made the trio a prime target at the war college. While he's close to both Xaden and Katrina, it's always been Katrina, who he calls Kate, that he's turned to first when he's overwhelmed. Kate has always been his safe haven and he doubts the she even knows that. As time goes on while they're in Basgiath, Garrick has started noticing how his stomach flutters whenever Kate walks into a room and the way that his breathing becomes shaky whenever she gives him one of her extra tight hugs. He doesn't know when these feelings for his purple haired best friend started to develop, but he's convinced that she doesn't feel the same way. Garrick Tavis x OC

The Crown Between Us

51 parts Complete Mature

Princess Clarke Tauri has always been a symbol - the jewel of the Serran Empire, second in line to a throne she never asked to inherit, trained in diplomacy, etiquette... and how to weaponize a smile. But when war bleeds across the continent and rebellion ignites in the shadows, her father sends her to Basgiath War College with one order: Watch. Learn. Do not bond a dragon. But Clarke has never been good at following the rules. Thrust into the brutal world of Rider Quadrant, she enters under her true name - publicly royal, infamously spoiled, and far more dangerous than anyone expects. Her peers whisper that she's a pawn. A liability. A crown with no place on the battlefield. Until she starts proving them wrong. With a sharp tongue, secret scars, and a fire that won't stay buried, Clarke begins to carve her own legend - and catch the attention of two very different men: Dain Aetos, the golden boy with loyal hands and a wounded heart... and Garrick Tavis, the scowling wing leader who sees too much and trusts nothing. But dragons don't bond to pretty titles or whispered threats. And as tensions rise between rebellion and regime, Clarke must decide what she's willing to burn to become more than a symbol - to become something real. Because in Basgiath, surviving is a choice. Becoming fire is a declaration.
