historical japan-based mystery undertale

An Undertale Au where it's set around japan in the 1860s and parts of the lore will slightly be diverged from the canon storyline. 

I'm not from japan so it's mostly based from surface level knowledge and googling for the things in this fanfic. 

Obviously Undertale belongs to Toby Fox.

Undertale is a beautiful game from 2015 by Toby Fox. I was among the many who jumped on the bandwagon and got into the game. Since then, the fanbase has created many alternate universes (aus). Flowerfell was created a year later in comic form. It's among the saddest aus while keeping the tone of Underfell (the evil fan made counterpart of the base game). I've been wanting to write a Flowerfell fanfiction for a long time, and here it finally is. I heavily debated whether to write the usual happy ending or a sad one, aligning with the original creator's intentions. Fall into the Underground and find out. And remember, Humans and Monsters. Sometimes kindness is all we can give. Sometimes kindness is enough.
