The secluded village of Aureria is protected by The Keepers, an ancient order of fierce, all-female werewolf warrior-priestesses. As the Alpha, Annesse is the living shield of her people, bound by a sacred oath to the Moon Deity. Their peace shatters with the arrival of the Iron Fist, a brutal raiding band led by the ruthless warrior, Thon, who raid and plunder villages, leaving stain of blood wherever they raid. The raiders descend upon Aureria hunting for the Crown of Tarsus, a terrifying legendary relic hidden beneath the village. The Crown commands an unstoppable army of a million Tarses-wolf beasts with scorpion tails that cannot be killed by mortal men. Thon seeks this power to conquer the entire world and forge a new empire. The second truth is the only counter: the Crown can only be destroyed by the self-sacrifice of an Alpha who is "pure in heart." Annesse is trapped between her sworn duty and a deep, forbidden love for Thon. She ultimately defeats him in the climactic battle but cannot deliver the killing blow, choosing instead to break her sacred oath and spare him. Her new plan is to fulfill the prophecy by sacrificing herself to destroy the Crown and save the world from the Tarses. This decision, however, is a devastating dilemma: the lives of all surviving Keepers are mystically bound to hers; her death means their immediate annihilation. Annesse must choose between saving the world and sacrificing her entire people. Thon tried to stop her from sacrificing herself to destroy the Crown of Tarsus. But the question remains: Is this because of his love for her or because of his greedy ambition to rule the world?

Nandani Singhania has been the shame of her pack her whole life. As the daughter of an Alpha, she should have been living a wonderful life, but she is kept hidden away from most of the pack. Believed to be without a wolf, thanks to her twin sister's rumor, things have gotten worse for her since she turned 18. Nandani is now basically a prisoner in her own packhouse at the Silver Blood pack. Her only positive in her life is her wolf, Noor, who she received when she turned 18, two months ago. Her twin sister, Natasha, who is the bane of her existence, torments her at every turn. Natasha is their parents, and the pack's pride and joy. The pack is encouraged to torment Nandani, so she dreams of her mate coming to take care of her, or take her away from the pack. Nandani has been waiting on her mate, for someone to come and rescue her. Nandani is praying for someone to truly love her, knowing that he will never come, not in this pack. One night will show Nandani the true depths her sister is willing to go to, in an ultimate act of treachery and duplicity. The revelation of the level of hate that her parents have towards her, will also be revealed. Nandani will be forced to leave the only place she has ever been, to escape her family. This will trigger a chain of events that will change absolutely everything in Nandani's life, but will her life turn out better, or worse? One thing is known to Nandani, at this point she can only count on Emerald to help her. As Nandani runs from the Silver Blade pack, will her life be cut short by becoming a rogue? Or will she manage to find the life, and the mate, that she has always dreamed of having? Or will fate intervene and show her that maybe she can have everything she ever dreamed of.
