Due to a threat arising to the remaining members of their family, Ava and her mother find themselves relocating from America to Australia. Despite the initial discontent and hardships of moving, Ava finds herself a comfortable group of new friends, which includes a hard to read boy with a dark past named Luke Hemmings. As much as she would like to open up to him, she's caught in sticky situations and consistent lies. Ava finds herself conflicted on letting her past life catch up with her and what to do when she needs to leave her new life behind.
