America, has a pretty average life. The only thing is his father is an alcoholic. And not the funny drunk either. America has to help his siblings, and is the only one brave enough to stand up to their father when drunk. America has not only to stop getting his father to drink, but help his friend who has fallen extremely ill with something no one knows what it is.
At least he has a gift that will help him more than once.
