" No.... I.... I.. ju... just came to get toothpaste" I stammered
"Are you sure?" He said raising his brows and then started moving towards me I kept moving backwards until I hit something "oh my God that's the wall" I said shutting my eyes for a brief moment
"Are you scared?" He said his face inches away from mine
"What?" I gave a nervous laugh "of course not"
That was all he needed before he closed the gap.

"Kayden Rivers, from fifth period biology, know him?" Mac said with a devilish look placed on her face. "Playboy Rivers?" I asked, a slightly queasy sensation happened to stir in my stomach as to where this dare was headed to. "Time to date the playboy!" Nalani finished off for her as they started to laugh uncontrollably. They were enjoying sending their bestfriend a straight ticket to hell? What lovely friends I have. "I'll do it." I said shutting their mouths up quickly. Honestly, how bad can it be? She's bold and classy while he's cocky and narcissistic; the selfless know-it-all and the classic playboy. She's Dawn Andrews and he's Kayden Rivers. The only thing they have in common? The fact that they're filthy rich. When a dare brings them together will they befriend one another or will loves past enter just in time to mess up the picture? "Jess, would you please get his order." Lisa winked at me and pointed the guy near the door. She is my one and only bestfriend since kindergarten. "Okay." I wore my waitress apron and put my phone and car keys on the pocket. I dragged myself to the guy's table to get his order. "Good Morning, Sir. Can I take your order?" The guy put the menu down on the table and he's checking me out! Jerk. "I'll just have the waitress in front me. Name your price." He winked at me. "Jerk!" I got the glass of water from the other table and poured it from his head to his pants so that it looked like that he'd pee on it and I stormed out from the restaurant. Her parents own a hundred of five star restaurant chains and hotel & casinos in the country and a hundred more around the world. One thing about Jessica is that, she hates guys because she was 'only' cheated and used by four guys already. They used her money and these four guys, she'll see them again at school and that bothers her so much. She don't feel love or hurt from guys anymore. Her heart is numb. It feels nothing. For guys. These four guys made Jessica a cold and heartless person. He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.Terminé

The year is 1986 and Mallory ended her summer by moving to Los Angeles, California and she has made two new friends Joanna and Cameron. Joanna is always busy and has something to do. Edit 10/11/2025: I just reposted this so I could look back on this. It's a fond memory of my childhood that I hold dearly. Though it's cringe, I look back at it and it mattered to my 6th grade self. I loved the 80s and this was my passion and my expression of creativity then. I can't judge myself for that :)
