Chasing Lights: A Sci-Fi Short Adventure

**The dog does not die.**

Henry, an overworked garbage man, is already on thin ice when he finds out he missed a street on his trash route. He's got to pick up the slack before the end of the night or lose the only job that helps him care for his sick dog, Grub. But when mysterious lights appear, things take a dangerous turn.

What should have been a quick fix spirals into survival when Henry has to drive hours across the state to drop off the truck for maintenance while being chased relentlessly by alien spacecraft. As time bends and reality distorts, evading high-tech threats and choosing what's important becomes nearly impossible.

The two will do anything to stick together, even if it means facing terrifying alien technology head-on. But this chase might be more personal than it seems, and he may have to strike a bargain to protect the one he loves. If Henry can't decide what truly matters in his life, someone else will.
