A cure, it had to be. Or at least something that stopped the rot from spreading entirely for a temporary amount of time. That's what it had to be. They had found some way to keep him alive and going. Because they wanted him there to further help progress Blackrock. Relief, something he hadn't felt in so long as slowly made its way to him. He hadn't even realized how much stress and pressure he was on until now. With death no longer being able to loom over his head he would be free to spend as much time on the projects he wanted. He didn't have to cram everything into sleepless nights. Nor did him having to study his own autonomy be a need anymore. He didn't have to decide if he wanted to be cremated or buried.

"Oh.. please do tell! I'm aching to know!" Subspace could feel a tear welling up in his eye. He could keep the little vision he had left... he could still see what he was doing and inventing. He wouldn't cry though, not here at least. Didn't want to embarrass himself in front of his superiors after all!
