Kai, a 15-year-old boy from the slums, joins a gang to help his sick mother and pay off their rising bills. The gang is dangerous, but they pay. Most members are normal humans, but the gang leader Raze, and two trusted lieutenants, are Elites - people with animal DNA who possess incredible strength, speed, and the ability to partially or fully transform into beasts.
One day, Raze gets his hands on a stolen syringe of the Elite Serum, a substance so rare and illegal that it's worth more than a house. Instead of using it for himself, he offers it to Kai, seeing something in the boy others don't.
Kai takes the serum - and becomes a werewolf Elite.
But he hides it.
If anyone at school or in the neighborhood finds out, he'll be hunted, arrested, or worse. So Kai lives a double life: a quiet, broke student by day... and a deadly gang runner by night.
