After Caroline Abbey's parents die under questionable circumstances, all she wants is to find a place where she can belong again. The Aptitude Test is supposed to give her just that. But when her results come back inconclusive, she is forced to make a choice.

Her decision brings her to Dauntless, where a certain blue-eyed leader seems to have seen through her from the very first day.

But why hasn't he revealed her secret? And could he somehow be connected to her parents' murder?
