Everything was falling apart. My friends, my family, and my life. As I lay down on my bed, my eyes get heavier and heavier then everything went black. I awake with my legs in the water at the side of the pool with a boy?! I recognized this boy was it One of my crushes then I hear him say "Hey." I reply stupidly, "Oh me? Hey." We start to have a normal conversation until he takes my hand into his! I let go of his hand and just look sad. He looks at me and says. " What's wrong?" I just looked away from him. With a smirking face he says,"Maybe this will change your mind." He leans in closer and closer so our noses were touching he goes towards my lips!? I wake up with my heart pounding in my chest.

Why was there a boy in my room? There was a boy in my room! "Shoo, shoo." I whacked him with the umbrella as he backed up next to the window. All I did was make a wish. I sat in the library. There was not a single person in sight. There was just complete, suffocating silence. Then the silence shattered when I heard loud footsteps. Each step got louder and louder. "What do you want?" I snap, slamming my locker shut. His casual smirk, messy dark hair, tan skin, strong arms, eerie storm-grey eyes... the list could go on of things I notice- that I shouldn't notice- about him. "Oh, I want a lot of things." He inspects a speck of dirt on his arm. "I'm sure you've heard the news?" His eyes flicker back up to meet mine. Does he know? No. He can't. So I roll my eyes. He can't know that I know, that I would do anything to be the first one he tells. "You'll have to be more specific." I mutter, trying to look casual as I inspect my nails. "Well, it involves a certain title of the swim team," He offers. I shrug. "So you got captain. That's cool. And what do I have to do with that?" He narrows his eyes, trying to read my expression. Unfortunately for him, I have mastered the art of hiding my emotions. "This is what I wanted to talk to you about. During English," He fiddles with his sweater sleeve. "I recall you trying to talk to me," I frown. "Well, I..." He swallows, seeming... nervous? "I'm not doing too great... subject wise. And if I don't pick up my ass soon, I might be forced to quit." He rubbed the back of his neck, making his shirtsleeve slide up his arm to reveal a strong bicep. Not that I notice. I narrow my eyes. "And what do I get back in return?" I cross my arms. I'm going to be late for the bus if we don't hurry. He studies my face. "Name your price." He mirrored my position. I sigh. Money... but I don't need it. Popularity... but I don't want it. I meet his gaze steadily. He lifts his chin, the tiniest bit, but it doesn't intimidate me. I square my shoulders and stand up straight. He's only just taller than me. Happen to what?" he asked, running his hand through my hair and caressing my cheek sweetly. "To us?" I asked, feeling scared about the way he was going to respond. "What's going to happen?" I repeated my question but this time my voice gave away how worried I was. A single tear dropped onto Evan's palm and suddenly he had swept me up into his arms. I instinctively curled into a ball and hugged him tight, pressing my cheek against his chest and listening to his heart. "Nothing's going to happen Maria. I promise. I love you, so much. Don't worry," he pleaded rocking us back and forth slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ruined this moment," was all I could say as silent tears made their way down my cheeks and onto his shirt. "Shhh, it's alright. I don't know how it will all work out, but we will be together, forever. I promise," he assured me, pressing a kiss to my temple. I sniffled and wiped my eyes as I looked up at Evan. He was watching me with concerned, loving eyes and for some unknown reason that look only made me start crying again. This time however I was happy. I was crying with joy because I knew I had someone who I could rely on; someone who would never leave me, someone who would be by my side forever, someone who would stay, stay with me and stay for me, someone who would stay true to me and stay forever in my heart. ~~~~~~~ Maria and Evan meet quite unexpectedly and form a relationship that is stronger than either of them could imagine. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes.
