The first day back to school after summer break can often be daunting and boring. It was the same for 17 year old Sal Vulcano, as he braved the start to the school year of 1993. He was living his typical day, when a new girl caught his eye, and the rest is history. Note: Some minor details have been changed. I've made Sal into a comic book loving dork, which I know is more linked to Brian's persona but shh. Also, entire setting is made up due to the fact that I wanted a change from Staten Island. "Hello?" I didn't usually answer unknown numbers, but what the hell? I was sitting at my desk, staring at a camera set to record, "Who's calling?" "Olivia?" A familiar male voice asked, "Is this still your number?" He sounded almost amazed. "Brian, what the hell?" She asked, a smile in her voice as a light laugh escaped her lips, "Why do you still have my number?" "Like I would ever delete it!" He said happily, making her heart lift for a moment, "The guys and I, we need a favor." "Anything for you, Quinn." She said hesitantly, looking up at the camera for a moment, "It's been a while since I've seen the crew." Five years have passed since Sal last saw his son, the image of the crying infant staining his mind, as he watched her being dragged out of the apartment with their baby boy. He speaks of him every day, carrying the dropped toy with him wherever he goes, wondering what his life could have been like. Sal was interrupted from his thoughts, when the sound of a young boy's cry filtered into his ears. NOTE: Use of 'Mum' and 'Mom' to differentiate between accents.
