Ghosted

When 18 year old Yoru Matsushita's mom dies, he finds himself losing connection to the real world, when he suddenly meets death himself, but he isn't as cold as he looks.

Yoru Matsushita is a normal teenage boy. He has a good school life, even though he gets bullied sometimes. He has friends and a good family life, but that all changes the day his mom dies. He's filled with regret, as his last words to her were nothing but brutal. He slowly loses connection to everything, and one day, when he tries to end it all, he ends up in a state between the living and the dead. A handsome boy suddenly enters Yoru's life, and he quickly realizes that the boy, named Yami, is no ordinary boy - he's actually Death himself.

At first, Yami seems cold and distant, which, fair enough, his job does imply that he has to kill Yoru, but as Yoru teaches him about the joy of life, he begins to open up. As Yoru shows Yami all the great things about being alive, he himself regains his will to live, but they begin to get entangled in each other's lives. Death gods start trying to kill Yoru, since he was never meant to live that long, and the two end up becoming good friends, maybe even more than friends.

Will they be able to keep Yoru alive when not even the gods are on his side? And even more importantly, Yami knows that he will be obliterated if he falls in love with Yoru. So, will he be able to keep things strictly friendly?
