Little Boy Rick
Rickford Beuwing, the first of his kind but second to his two-year-old sister, Riley. His dwellings, Shippolen Middle School, and his conquest are to be recognized amongst all the taller kids. The only thing blocking prosperity is four of the meanest wordsmiths, Zander, Dre', Rodney, and Mr. Dailey who never hold back the opportunity to make him the object of ridicule or read his embarrassing love letter to his World History class. He must learn how to navigate a new world of hormones in a place still struggling to talk about the birds and the bees to 13-year-olds. He will later learn that he can't change the people around him, no matter how diabolical of a plan he uses to solve all his problems. His fears, aggression, and down-right smelly sentiments only can get the best of him and ooze into his personal life-- driving a wedge between the people he cares about the most.
It's a high order for him to handle, other than the Lemon Fizz from Pete's Diner, his families' shaky marriage, or his trigger-happy neighborhood, but he is a mastermind that does an extraordinary thing.
