"The one thing Steve so secretly desired, he could barely allow himself to think it. Francine 'Frankie' Delmares."

"Francine Delmares was doing better. At least since freshman year of high school. The only way is up when you've already hit the bottom."

Steve and Frankie were never anything to each other. They weren't friends, not necessarily enemies, and definitely not lovers. Though, Steve can't seem to shake the pull of Francine Delmares from his head no matter what he tries to distract himself with.

Frankie's been dealing with too much to even notice Steve Harrington at all. But her therapist has been challenging her to take baby steps on her journey to recovery. Francine wanted to get better, and she didn't want to pay attention to anything but that. But fate has a weird way of making you pay attention, and of changing things. But in Hawkins, change might include rabid-beasts from a parallel dimension and a kill-or-be-killed alongside someone you never could have anticipated.
