I don't know what to call it..(Omori AU)

In this story, you are reading from Basil's POV. It is in 3rd person but only his inner thoughts and feelings are expressed in the narration. It starts with a flashback to the incident and takes place over the next few years of his life until reaching the present-time in the game. Basil has his own "headspace" but it is fairly different from Sunny's. He has a new name, face, and life but something is amiss. He visits this place every night when he sleeps but needs to maintain some presence in real life. Or does he?

If this ends up being liked at all, I can try continuing beyond that as a separate book but do NOT get your hopes up.

This is NOT a SHIP STORY. It is not a story with the main goal of shipping a specific pair. I mean, it could be... because I love Sunflower as a ship- BUT I am naming it "Sunflower" because it's the flower Basil used to represent himself in the game. Also, "Sunflower" by Rex Orange Country is a fantastic song that I think works for Basil- and the ship to be honest, so really either work, I guess.... Just know shipping is not exactly the intention, but if that's what you interpret it as, have fun. Apologies in advance if there is some underlying favoritism for the pair though.

Also I listed the target audience as New Adult (18-25) because that is where I fall. I don't really have an opinion on who should be playing the game (debatable because of the themes) but this story is age appropriate obviously. All the main characters are 16 (Sunny) to 19 (Hero) in the real world, but I will be refraining from anything sexual, even if plausible. Also, no ship discourse. Should've said it before but please no.

There is no upload schedule. I'm "in college" or something like that. But I hope you like whatever you get to see. And I hope I can be a decent author- This is my newest form of escapism (not new, but rebranded AGAIN). (Crocheting is nice too.) Enjoy the story <3
