Shadow didn't have much going on in his life; it was simple and stable, as any older hedgehogs should be. By day, he would run his cozy little bookstore on the corner of Fifth and Doom, sipping coffee while catching up on his latest read. He would close by seven. Then, he retreated to his one-bed apartment to dye his quills midnight and cover the markings in the corners of his eyes with makeup before sliding on his other work uniform.
Umbra would emerge into the night to take on the role of a young Playboy at Club Rouge, a fan favorite, especially the favorite of Sonic-a high-paying guest whose crimson eyes and striking quills have made their way outside the flashing lights of the club and into his day life.
Shadow couldn't keep up the double life forever, and neither can Sonic.

The Sonic gang is going on a trip to another place called Sycora City, a 2 day trip from Green Hills. Shadow is driving because why not. Sonic is next to him in the passenger seat, bugging Shadow while he drives. Amy is with Sticks, trying to teach her how to act more ladylike and to stop being paranoid. Silver and Blaze and snoozing in the middle seats of the van next to Amy and Sticks. Knuckles and Rouge are sitting in the back. Rouge is teasing Knuckles and Knuckles is annoyed, looking out the window and trying to ignore her. Shadow-rin and Tails are sitting next to them. Tails is sitting next to the window and sleeping. Shadow-rin is sitting next to him and has her headphones in, drawing in her sketchbook. Their road trip was meant to be a fun and enjoyable time to just hang out. But on the first night, they stop to stay over in a hotel in a secluded area. The place was practically empty, and they were the only people there apart from the owner, an old man. The place was dark and old, but the room they booked was more better kept, minus the dust. At night, Shadow-rin and Tails hear something, making them look around the dark halls in the middle of the night to investigate. The owner is hiding something, but they don't know what. And they don't want to find out. A Big Mistake (Sonadow) discontinued, sadly
Dr. Starline created a weapon which causes people to fall into a 'death like' slumber, and when Sonic's friends succumb to the evil, Sonic's dark side will take over, unfortunately causing the villain and two other innocent Mobians get killed by leftover rubble. Sonic is drenched with guilt but covers it up with a fake smile. Tails, Rouge and Shadow can tell something is wrong, but aren't quite sure. What happens when the guilt gets the best of him? Will Shadow be able to prevent Sonic from going over the edge? Find out by reading! This is my first Story so please don't judge.
