Exactly what the title says, just that he's not a ghost, or well he is... basically, he's a poltergeist. What's a Poltergeist you may ask? It's a type of ghost in folklore believed to be responsible for noisy and physical disturbances, such as loud rappings, objects being moved or thrown, and even spontaneous fires.
