I don't believe in half-choices.
I believe in rules.

Rules keep things clean. Controlled. Temporary.
And when I let Camryn Blake into my life, I was certain I could keep her inside them.

No attachments.
No promises.
And when it ends-we walk away.

Simple. Until it isn't.

Because Camryn doesn't follow rules. She bends them, tests them, dares me to break my own. And the more I try to hold the line, the more everything I've built starts to crack.

I told myself I could walk away.
I was wrong.

Riley thinks she's untouchable.
Calculated. Cold. In control.

She thinks setting rules means she won't feel anything when it all goes wrong.

But I see the way she looks at me when she thinks I'm not paying attention. I hear the hesitation in her voice every time she tells me this is temporary. And I know she's lying-to herself more than anyone.

I was never supposed to want her.
She was never supposed to matter.

Now I'm done pretending this doesn't mean something.
And if she thinks I'm walking away quietly?

She doesn't know me at all.
