Prologue

Most never did. In Volkus's slums, Xue Yang, an orphaned boy, knew this harsh truth. Amid grinding poverty, he protected his frail sister, Xue Mei-their only family. Scavenging for scraps, enduring hunger and scorn, he dreamed of escape but faced only survival.

One day, while working for labour job which gave the money to educate his sister, he unearthed a shifting cube: the Rubik's Heavens, a legendary puzzle that rewrote fate.

Solving its first face at home, Shadow awakened within him-powers of vanishing, binding, shadow-stepping, and self-multiplication.

Guided by its whispers, he teleported to Auriel, an angel in Realm between realms . Evading dangers with nascent abilities, he received a ritual blessing, fusing the cube deeper, accelerating his Shadow mastery and revealing further elements.

Power drew enemies: clans sent assassins. Xue Yang fought for Xue Mei, sacrificing his Void path to awaken her cultivation.

As a Void Beast assaulted the Royal Capital, Xue Yang confronted it, fell, but was remade by the cube into a grandmaster, banishing the threat.

This is the siblings' ascent from shadows, forged in sacrifice, as the heavens turn anew.
