Al-Andalus 1183. Lluna Valentia bint Al Mualim De Bosch is a Spanish/Moorish noble, fruit of an interfaith union that hoped to unite two conflicting faiths of the Iberian Peninsula. Because of the King's illness, it remains to be seen whether there is a point to it all. And, after all, nobody asked what Lady Valentia thought about the whole situation. Can this unwilling bride give her life and love away to a leper? And what is that which makes her the only one who could? Something far more sinister than a disease lurks ahead. Factions and alliances will either cooperate or sow discord.
