sirebond: a matter of blood

Blythe Blue is a rebellious young woman from Virginia. Her relationship with her parents is strained, especially with her mother, who is strict and deeply religious. Blythe's biological father abandoned her when she was only two, and two years later, her mother remarried. From that point on, her mother has tried to impose her own beliefs and expectations on Blythe, frequently reminding her that she is expected to marry a Christian, modest man.
As Blythe approaches her eighteenth birthday, her mother begins actively searching for a suitable husband for her, a plan Blythe resists at every turn. Despite the pressure, Blythe eventually finds the courage to defy her mother's will. Just before the wedding, she makes the decisive choice to run away, determined to claim her own life and freedom.
