Austin Miller lives a life of quiet anticipation, his early mornings spent monitoring radio static, convinced that a momentous event is on the horizon. Despite the mundane reality of his family life and the strained relationship with his stepfather, Gary, Austin holds firm to his premonition of "something big." He meticulously observes the world, feeling an undeniable shift in his bones. One morning, Austin wakes not to the familiar static, but to a world irrevocably altered. The "something big" he foresaw has arrived in the form of a devastating zombie apocalypse. Suddenly, his lifelong vigil takes on a terrifying new meaning. With no practical survival skills, Austin is forced to rely on the only training he's ever had: countless hours spent watching survival videos on YouTube. From makeshift weapon crafting to basic first aid, he must now put his theoretical knowledge to the ultimate test, navigating a brutal new reality where every decision could mean the difference between life and becoming one of the undead. "The Static" follows Austin's desperate struggle for survival, as he transforms from a reclusive observer into an unlikely hero, armed only with a lifetime of online tutorials and an unyielding will to live.
