Akito Eguchi had never imagined that he would attend Hope's Peak Academy one day. But one day, he received a letter. He was invited to be the Ultimate Gardener of Class 93! Who wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go there for their high school education?

NOTE: This takes place in an AU where the Tragedy never occurred, and Junko was as close to sane as she could. So no end of the world occurred, Makoto isn't in charge of the school, etc. Also, the "Mature" thing is because of the gore that'll end up showing up in later parts. It hasn't showed up yet, but it's there so I don't forget to turn it on later.

Healing Process - Mikan Tsumiki x Male Reader by TheFancyPigeon
5 parts Ongoing
Hope's Peak Academy, a school that scouts students from across the country in search of talent. The ones accepted into the school are known as Ultimates. The Ultimate Yakuza, the Ultimate Mechanic, the Ultimate Princess; anything goes. 17 High School students were picked in the next batch to attend the school. They all believed they'd graduate and leave with their futures set up for them. But things don't quite go as planned. All of them are now trapped on an island with no easy escape, forced into a killing game by a psychotic teddy bear. The only way to win is through betrayal. This weighs heavily on everyone. But throughout the chaos, there is a flicker of hope for two participants. Y/N L/N and Mikan Tsumuiki. The Ultimate Mortician and the Ultimate Nurse. The boy that keeps to himself and the girl that apologizes for everything. The two of them couldn't be more different from each other. Y/N prefers to be away from others, Mikan wants to finally have friends. Realistically, the two could never bond. But by some miracle, a connection begins to form between them. A connection formed by a shared pain. The pain of the past. Pasts they can't forget. Pasts that shaped them into who they are today. Pasts they think they'll never move on from. The future has always looked bleak for them. But as their connection begins to strengthen, they begin to think otherwise. Just maybe, these two broken souls can heal each other. I do not own Danganronpa or any of its characters. The cover art does not belong to me, it belongs to @Deadnooodles on Twitter (or X if you're weird).

(Book 1 of Universal Anguish) "To sacrifice yourself for the greater good is the greatest honor a human can obtain. Those who have lost their lives, died for our noble cause. Those who live... find glory like no other." Every year, all around the world, thousands of talented youths are chosen for the greatest honor in the world. Hope's Peak takes only the best of the best to represent their homelands in an experience like no other. Everywhere around the world billions watch in anticipation, hungry for representation among the global elite. Death and despair was a way of the past, though through a screen and the lens of nationality, the greatest tragedies make for the best entertainment. Masanori Chayama of Japan, and Nyathera Abiodun of South Africa, chosen for their talents, were given the chance to attend Hope's Peak Academy. They attend amongst many others for the same reason, promised the opportunity of a lifetime. What they all thought would be a dream come true, turns into a horrific nightmare right before their eyes. Under the control of the Aspiration Agency, all those involved can do is submit to the will of the game. While everyone's heart beats the same, some may beat with a stronger will to live than others. [Warning: The following story contains death, blood, gore, murder and manslaughter, graphic descriptions and depictions of violence, misogynistic and racially motivated violence, mentions and discussions of suicide and sexual abuse, drug and alcohol consumption, and foul language.] [All art featured in this book was created by me.] [The original Danganronpa was created by Spike Chunsoft. This project is a Fanganronpa.]

I thought... that this academy would help me. Help me trust others. Help me get a better hold of my future. Maybe find love. But no... now I'm stuck here... and we have to... we have to... I gagged. Thinking about it just makes me sick. My hands were trembling. I could feel tears falling down my cheeks. My face was getting hotter by the second. "I wanna go home..." I whispered. I silently weeped into my hands. Of all people, why me? Why did I have to be... in a... killing game? (Authors note: Yes, this is a Fanganronpa. But it is not connected to the Danganronpa series. So no, there will not be another "Junko Enoshima" or a reference to "The biggest, most awful, most tragic event in human history". Also, there will be no Hopes Peak Academy. This project will only have specific details from the original that I like. For example... MoNoKuMa. Maybe. You'll have to wait and see. Anyway, see you guys in the story!) Notice: Please do not steal my art or trace it! It took me awhile to do, and I wouldn't want it to go to waste. Also, I may go back and post new art at any time, so make sure to look over the chapters again! Have a great day, and I hope you enjoy this story! [WARNING]: Death, gore, vivid imagery, suicide discussions, execution, swearing, adult themes, topics of abuse, and self harm! Viewer discretion is advised! [This story is currently in first draft mode. It has lots of typos, and is only a first run through. After the story is finished, I will go back and change certain things and fix some of the problems in the story. Art will also be updated after the second stage of writing.]
