Mike Ross begins struggling at Pearson Hardman as migraines and memory issues affect his work. After pressure from Harvey and Jessica, he seeks help from Dr. Marcus Stillman, a renowned brain surgeon, who prescribes medical marijuana in nasal spray form. The treatment helps, but when Harvey finds out, tension erupts until Dr. Stillman personally confirms Mike's condition-and even hires him as his lawyer.

To legitimize Mike's background, Stillman secretly arranges for him to take Harvard's final exams. Mike scores A+ across all subjects, earning an official diploma and proving he's no longer a fraud. His emotional speech about integrity and resilience wins over Jessica and the firm.

However, stress drives Mike to misuse a stronger strain of marijuana, leading to an overdose scare. Donna finds him unconscious, and Harvey and Jessica confront him. After a warning, Mike returns to Dr. Stillman, who helps him identify the real causes of his migraines-stress, dehydration, and lack of rest.

Following a new treatment plan, Mike rebuilds his health and discipline. Eventually, he rejects marijuana completely, regains control of his life, and earns the full respect of his mentors.
