The difference between Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz, lies in the experience of loneliness versus solitude - solitude being a choice, while loneliness never is. Buck spends majority of his life feeling alone - so badly yearning to be someone's first choice for once. Eddie, on the other hand, has recently chosen solitude, not wanting to let anyone know of his struggles hidden beneath the surface. Though they both spend their days fighting fires, will they be able to help one another extinguish those burning within before the smoke causes them to suffocate? ***** This is my first fanfic, so there'll probably be a bunch of edits made throughout / after the full writing process. I'm not great at drawing but I'm currently making use of my own sketches throughout the fic - I will however replace them with better ones if I find someone who's interested in doing them :) *Just to clarify, May and Harry are already in their teens / lower twenties and Chris is still a kid. Evan Buckley can't get Eddie Diaz out of his head. After a passionate evening in the bathroom of a bar, Buck thinks that he'll never see Eddie again. Until Eddie gets hired on as the new recruit at the 118 fire house. Now, both men must struggle with their desire for each other, and being teammates. As well as learning things about himself, Buck must come to term with the secrets that Eddie is keeping, and whether or not he can be with someone who initially lied to him.
