i know i write a lot of fanfiction, but bear with me!! also no cover for now because im super lazy :/

16 year old Cade Lee is quiet and doesn't really have friends. He doesn't care-he has enough to think about with his absent mother and younger sister to care for. He's a fighter in an underground ring called the Snake Pit, fighting to earn enough money to support his family.

17 year old Brayden Reynolds is a soccer player who stinks at math. He's also the lead guitarist in a band called Abyss. He's observant, friendly, and has a massive crush on a certain boy in his class. But what if that boy doesn't like him back?

Brayden figures out Cade's secret after his band plays at the Snake Pit, but now it's up to him to decide whether to tell Cade he knows. The two, who were previously just classmates, get forced together due to an English group project. Will the two grow closer in the process?
