The Devil's Children

Trouble sets afoot in Charleston, South Carolina when eighteen year old William Smith finds himself in a body that he doesn't recognize as his own. The son of affluent politicians with strong ties to the Klansmen in Charleston, William finds himself at death's door when he realize he is trapped in the body of fifteen year old Wilbur Smith - a young Black boy William's father set to execute for failure to comply with Jim Crow's Law. To make matters worse, William nor Wilbur has no connection of earlier memories that could trail to their current ill-fated demise.

Given seven days until "his" execution, William must forge a path that would clear not only his but Wilbur's fate of demise as well while reckoning the demons that harbors the place he once proudly called home.

Set in 1919 of Charleston, South Carolina, The Devil's Children follows the tale of two teens living in the Deep South during Jim Crow's Law while exploring themes of death, love, loss, and ego as it showcases the grim mirage of The American Dream - post-colonial America
