What do you do when nothing feels like it's in control? For almost all his life, war has been the norm for Kaidus. It has taken and broken families, and for the most part Kaidus had avoided the war until now. After getting conscripted and finding out he has magical powers, he must now go to the Royal Mage Academy and push himself for his family and his father who may be alive. But Kaidus isn't quite just a mage, he's something different, unbound to limits and powerful. Kaidus must push and challenge those around him in order to save those he cares most about and stop the war from worsening even more.
