The live opened to a soft, sleepy-looking Ziyu sprawled on a bed in his hometown bedroom. Sunlight slanted lazily across him; his hair was a tousled mess, skin still pink from warmth and sleep.

He smiled at the camera-slow, mischievous, a little too knowing.

"Morning. Or afternoon. I lost track," he murmured, voice rough with the kind of exhaustion that wasn't from schedules. "I went home to rest a little."

Mingyu's breath brushes against Seungcheol's cheeks, a soft whisper in the cool air. "No way," he murmurs, his eyes alight with an intensity that makes Seungcheol's heart race. "Holy shit, I love you." Time seems to freeze for Seungcheol as he instinctively pulls back, a rush of uncertainty flooding him. "You don't know me," he replies, his voice trembling slightly. He avoids Mingyu's gaze, focusing on anything but those earnest eyes. "I'm very unlovable." The words tumble out, laced with a hollow laugh that feels more like a shield than a joke. But Mingyu doesn't share his amusement. He blinks slowly, his gaze unwavering, wide, and innocent like a sleepy owl peering from the pages of a storybook. It's captivating, and Seungcheol feels the warmth of that stare even as he looks away, trying to shield himself from the truth in Mingyu's eyes. "No, I'm an excellent judge of character," Mingyu insists, his voice steady. "I love you." The declaration hangs in the air, a sweet echo that pulls at Seungcheol's heart. OR A mincheol fic where their love story begins in the fall when the world outside is shedding its vibrant hues leaves drifting down like forgotten dreams.
