For years Mildred Hughes has dreamed about the day she will finally get to attend Hogwarts. She doesn't have the desire to see the school like all the other children who turn eleven. It would be strange if she did considering she lived there. Mildred instead wished to finally be able to socialise with other human beings that weren't her father or the headmaster of the school.

When Mildred turns eleven she finally gets her wish, having the letter personally given to her by Dumbledore himself. However, she never expected the ensuing drama created by the boy who lived, nor the increasing annoyance she would feel for a blonde idiot. If that wasn't enough, she had a major secret she had to keep from absolutely everyone and the weight was heavier then she could ever imagine.

After all, how do you tell your best friends that your father is Severus Snape, probably the most hated teacher in the school.
