Prism City

Arin Vega never meant to be a symbol. He just cannot walk past someone who needs help. After the Forge Reactor accident leaves him linked to a strange Prism bracelet, he becomes the Vanguard, the boy who can grow taller than buildings and push kaiju back from the city. He still fixes broken machines between fights and tells bad jokes so people are not afraid.

Then a new savior appears in the sky. The Mirror Masked Sentinel. He moves like a perfect video clip. He never hesitates, never misses, never gets hurt. The city falls in love with him. Posters go up. The old cheers that once belonged to Arin now call out for someone else.

Juni Kale is the reporter who has always shown Zenith its broken corners. She sees a problem in this new hero who seems too smooth and too clean. Her recordings glitch when the Sentinel is on screen. The numbers in the reports do not add up. People who should be in the story vanish in the details. While Arin keeps throwing himself into danger to save whoever he can, Juni follows the clues under the pretty surface.

Zenith is a city built on what people choose to see. Hope. Fear. The faces they decide to trust. When the new hero begins to move and sound a little too much like Arin, he has to face a hard truth. Saving the city might not mean shining brighter than the Sentinel. It might mean pulling off the mask and facing what is underneath, even if it looks like him.
