Nightmare critters & father figure reader

One day, outside of the infamous Playtime co., you meet a group of living plush toys known as the nightmare critters. Once you realize they're just kids who have nobody to look out for them, you decide to take them home to care for as your own.
This was inspired by the smiling critters x mother figure reader stories, I thought it would be fitting to give the nightmare critters a father figure. And there will be some self improvement on the critters' part.

In the big city of TFCH (The Foot of Critteriffic Heights) one cat critter in specific has been living day by day, trying to stay happy in his current household. He would constantly stay up at night, and sleep during the day to avoid any form of interactions with his parents. Why? Because they're always peckering on him to change. They don't let him hang around the people he want to hang around, they're always telling him to be someone he isn't, trying to change his appearance, you name 'em: They're trying to control every aspect of his life. Sometimes they'd even take drastic measures to make sure it's done. Whether it harms or not. For 13 years he has been ignored, yelled at, sometimes even beaten for being the one HE wants to be. It only takes so long for one's sanity to fade though. After an incident with one of his few best friends, he's had enough... He decided to execute a plan he had made years before. Flee... Far... Far away... past Critteriffic Heights Perhaps he could finally find someone who cares and accepts. Maybe even something he was inches away from getting right before he left. Maybe now he can be him. Somewhere else, a dog critter was walking back into his house after a long day of playing around with his friends. When he got inside, he started making his way to the bedroom to rest for the night. But in the corner of his eye, he sensed movement. He tensed up as he decided to investigate it from the window. And there he saw it... To Understand the Soul
Y/N "Angel", an Experiment of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, Traumatized and anxious while having to wander through the Facility in hopes of finding food. One day you crawl through the ventilation shafts and hear crying. When you enter what looks like a prison, you quickly realize that a few prisoners are in urgent need of help. (Y/N's abilities are based on Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen, he knows how to use them, and so does) The Smiling Critters are mostly female, and this becomes part of the story later. The Smiling Critters (From the peaceful Universe) end up at Playtime Co, must Survive and make Friends so they have a chance at getting back to their old life. Smiling and Nightmare anomalies
(ON HIATUS TILL I CAN MOVE THIS TO Ao3) It all started when the SCP foundation found evidence of Playtime co's experiments on orphan children, Epsilon 11 was sent, the factory was raided and all knowing about the bigger bodies initiative were... disposed of and all living toys were contained . For the tiny smiling critters and the tiny nightmare critters this felt like a cruel joke played by God himself they thought they were finally being saved only to be thrown in another damn prison trying its best to pretend its not a prison. (I do not own Poppy playtime or any SCP portiade in this)
