Sonic the Hedgehog was born with a condition called Cerebral Palsy, which is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder that affects movement, posture, and balance. But, that doesn't stop him from being the kind person he always was. However, he gets bullied at school, his mother is overprotective and has an aversion for being misunderstood and misinterpreted by others. When he meets Shadow The Hedghog, he finds a friend. And he won't feel like an outsider again.
